Four questions

Build your estimate

Your salary isn’t part of it — IRCC scores the occupation, not your pay. Each answer updates the result.

Paid work, full-time or the same amount part-time. Work done while you were a full-time student or self-employed doesn’t count under Express Entry rules.

About you

From your Express Entry profile. It already includes your Canadian work experience points, so we add only the change. Leave it blank to see just your new LMI points.

Use a score from before November 3, 2026. Once IRCC rescores your profile (from Nov 3, taking up to two weeks), your score already includes these points — entering it here would count them twice. In that case, leave this blank.

The rules, plainly

How the LMI factor works

Three things decide your points — here’s the logic IRCC published.

IRCC’s list sets the level

IRCC has already placed 186 occupations (NOC codes) into three levels — 2.0×+, 1.5–2.0× and 1.3–1.5× the average median wage — using 3 years of national wage data. You just look up your NOC. Your personal salary isn’t part of it, so a raise doesn’t change your points.

No LMIA needed

From November 3, 2026 a qualifying offer no longer requires an LMIA. Officers still verify the employer and the genuineness of the offer.

Best of both is used

Offer points and experience points don’t stack — IRCC compares them and awards the higher. The whole LMI factor caps at 150 (single) / 140 (with spouse).

What you’re looking at

Each row is one of the 186 occupations on IRCC’s list, with the level IRCC assigned it and what that level is worth: offer points for a qualifying job offer in it, and the experience add-on for 12+ months of Canadian experience in it (on top of work-length points).

The level belongs to the occupation, not to you — everyone in the same NOC gets the same points, whatever their salary.

Rules and lists change

The Labour Market Integration factor takes effect November 3, 2026. Points, levels and the 186-occupation list follow IRCC’s announced rules and 2023–2025 data, and may be updated at any time. This tool may lag those changes.

Your experience must qualify

Experience counts only if it meets Express Entry rules: skilled (TEER 0–3) work in Canada within the last 10 years, with the high-wage add-on needing 12+ months in listed occupations. A job offer must be genuine and valid under Express Entry — an IRCC officer checks this.

How your current score is used

If you enter a current score, we assume it was calculated before November 3, 2026 and already includes your Canadian work experience points. We remove those and add the new factor, following IRCC’s published rule that you get experience or a job offer, never both. IRCC’s own rescoring of your profile is the official number.
